Our team helps defense hardware, software, logistics, and services companies win contracts, secure appropriations, maintain operations, and strengthen their relationships with the federal government. Defense contractors developing and deploying cutting edge technologies, hardware, software, and infrastructure providers, all rely on the Vogel Group’s ability to engage with key partners across the federal government. We routinely engage with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), National Security Innovation Network (NSIN), as well as the larger military technology ecosystem. We work closely with the House and Senate Armed Services Committees and a variety of other stakeholders in the national security space. The Vogel Group has successfully secured tens of millions of dollars in client-supported defense appropriations and has worked to support international contract engagement directly with federal agencies.
The Vogel Group worked with a public benefit software company, that specialized in streamlining the government’s technology adoption process, to include authorizing language in the NDAA. Since engaging with this company, we have also secured tens of millions of dollars in Defense Appropriations legislation.
The Vogel Group developed and implemented an engagement strategy that began with socializing the company’s executive team with key members of Congress involved in defense, including members of both the House and Senate Armed Services and Appropriations Committees. Based on these meetings, our team was able to identify congressional champions to advance the company’s policy and funding goals.
Our team drafted an amendment to the NDAA for congressional champions to introduce, which authorized funding for the client’s initiative. We then executed a legislative strategy to whip support and implement a third-party media engagement strategy that echoed our legislative goals. The Vogel Group drafted appropriations language that was ultimately included in the Chair’s mark and separately worked with the client to develop collateral, including letters of support and education materials to disseminate to key stakeholders. As a result of our efforts, nearly $100 million in government funding was secured for mission-critical agencies, directly benefitting the client.
