Ali Khimji is a Principal at the Vogel Group.

Ali advises a broad portfolio of clients on anticipating, understanding, and responding to federal legislative and regulatory developments.

Ali has developed industry leading due diligence and policy research expertise. He leads a team that helps companies, trade associations, and other stakeholders achieve their legislative and regulatory objectives. Ali formulates policy priorities, crafts advocacy strategies, tracks multiple complex policy issues, and proactively engages with a broad range of government stakeholders to drive policy initiatives forward.

In addition to supporting government affairs efforts, Ali is the head of the firm’s research work, serving clients in the private equity, hedge fund, and corporate development spaces. In this capacity, he has provided strategic guidance to large investment funds, both global and domestic, related to public policy considerations across investment arenas. He routinely advises funds on idiosyncratic risk and special situations with a particular expertise in Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) mergers and acquisitions reviews.

Ali received his B.S. from Penn State University, where he majored in Business Management and Finance and was a member of the Penn State Division I tennis team.
