Jonathan Fahey is a nationally recognized attorney and former senior official in the Trump Administration. Prior to joining Vogel Group, Jonathan served in numerous positions during President Trump’s first administration, providing him with unique insights on the executive branch. He served as the General Counsel to the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. He also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, Acting Principal Legal Advisor and then Acting Director for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
A former federal and state prosecutor and seasoned trial lawyer, having successfully tried dozens of criminal and civil cases to a jury in federal and state court, Jonathan has also successfully litigated significant constitutional issues. His combined skillset of significant prosecutorial experience coupled with high-level agency expertise has proven to be an invaluable asset for clients facing government enforcement matters and corporate investigations.
Jonathan spent most of his legal career as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia. While serving in these roles, he held several leadership positions and led grand jury investigations in cases involving RICO, drug trafficking, human trafficking, public corruption, and white-collar offenses. During his tenure, Jonathan handled several cases of national significance. For his work, he received multiple awards, including the Attorney General’s John Marshall Award, for the prosecution of a serial killer and sexual predator.
Jonathan is also a Partner at Holtzman Vogel PLLC, where his legal practice focuses on investigations and white-collar criminal defense. Jonathan appears frequently on Fox News and Fox Business providing legal analysis as well as commentary on current events and political issues.
Jonathan earned a B.S. from James Madison University and a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
