On behalf of Fortune 100 global companies, trade associations, and emerging start-ups, the Vogel Group has secured targeted and specific tax credits, preserved current and created new domestic tax deductions, and worked on analyzing and engaging in various international tax proposals. From industry-specific deductions to ensure asset cost recovery to targeted credits for specific economic activity, to formulating large business and association bipartisan coalitions to enact new tax treatments, and of course, fighting against punitive tax policy, our experts have a deep and nuanced understanding of tax and fiscal policy. From working on the latest tax reform bill, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, to being seen as published experts by policymakers and the media as leaders in this space, our team can help navigate complex tax issues at the House Ways & Means Committee, Senate Finance Committee, Departments of Treasury and IRS, as well as other agencies.
The Vogel Group worked with a trade association to advocate for policy priorities that support long-term growth for the association members, including tax code changes that directly support association members and their businesses.
Our team first worked to establish meaningful relationships with key members of Congress, focusing on constituent members for association companies and committees of jurisdiction. The Vogel Group prepared crafted messaging to educate policymakers and staff on the association’s complex tax needs. Through our relationships, the Vogel Group helped the association find sponsors in Congress to promite legislation to amend the tax code in favor of the association’s priorities. We then helped find co-sponsors to sign onto the legislation by involving third-party advocacy groups and the media. Through this effort, the Vogel Group helped educate Congress on the needs of constituent association members. This assisted the trade association in introducing powerful tax code legislation, directly benefitting member companies.
