WASHINGTON, D.C. – Vogel Group, a top bipartisan government affairs and consulting firm, announced today that former Counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, Julian Yowell, has joined the firm as a Director in its Washington, D.C. office.

Yowell returns to the firm after serving as Counsel to the U.S. House Judiciary Committee led by Chairman Jim Jordan. In his role, he led the Committee’s portfolio on FARA as well as a range of issues including oversight of DOJ and FBI matters, tech censorship, artificial intelligence, federal grants, and national security related issues. He also led high-profile congressional investigations and directed oversight of federal agencies. During this time, he worked on some of the most consequential legal and policy issues considered by Congress in recent years.

In addition to his time on Capitol Hill, Yowell has significant private sector experience. He previously served as an associate at the Vogel Group and brings extensive experience in energy project development and private equity. Yowell also serves as part-time faculty at George Washington University Law School. His career in politics began on the campaign of Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX).
