Deanna Archuleta is a Principal at the Vogel Group.
Deanna Archuleta currently works on the Vogel Groups energy practice. She has clients in the utility sector and both traditional and renewable energy development. Her portfolio of clients includes long term health coverage, methane mitigation and detection, proxy advisors, electric vehicle chargers and carbon capture.
Prior to joining the Vogel Group, Deanna Archuleta served as Senior Director for Federal Affairs at ExxonMobil. She oversaw ExxonMobil’s engagement with the White House, all federal agencies, and the U.S. Senate, making sure the company’s efforts were streamlined and coordinated. She previously served as ExxonMobil/XTO’s Government Relations Manager in New Mexico, where she was the principal point of contact with the Governor’s office, State Legislators, statewide elected and appointed officials, as well as trade associations and other organizations in New Mexico.
Deanna was a member of President Obama’s Energy and Environment Transition Team. She also served the Administration as both a Senior Advisor to Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Water and Science in the Department of the Interior, where she oversaw the Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Geological Survey. She has an extensive background in water policy, natural resources, energy policy and preservation of historic treasures.
Early in her career, Deanna was elected to a seat on the New Mexico Bernalillo County Commission in 2004, which she held for five years, including serving as chair. She built strategic partnerships that brought resources and jobs into the county and strengthened the economy. She focused on economic development, health care, safety and quality-of-life initiatives. During that time, Deanna was the Southwest Regional Director for the Wilderness Society, a Board Chair/Member of the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Authority and was working on her Ph.D. while raising her sons.
