Gary Hunter is a Principal at the Vogel Group.
Gary Hunter maintains a broad governmental law practice with an emphasis on state government affairs, land use entitlements, property rights advocacy, and environmental issues.
For over three decades, Gary has represented Florida’s largest landowners in complex land use strategic development, litigation, and large area planning. He is equally motivated and privileged to represent everyday landowners in protecting property rights from regulatory intrusion or securing needed entitlements.
Gary’s experience includes counseling clients through the maze of the federal Superfund and hazardous waste programs with litigation of cost recovery actions, private landowner suits resulting from the migration of pollutants beyond property boundaries, and Harris Act claims, among others.
In addition to his land use and property rights expertise, Gary spends considerable hours with Florida’s policymakers, both in the Capital and throughout the state advocating for legislative policy on behalf of Florida agriculture, large land interests, community developers, Florida’s timeshare industry, the world’s largest energy company, and an international leader in the pharmaceutical industry, along with others.
