VOGEL GROUP ADDS FORMER GAP LOBBYIST AND CULBERSON STAFFER, HAYDEN JEWETT

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Top bipartisan government relations firm, Vogel Group, announced today that Hayden Jewett will join the firm as a Director in its Government Affairs practice. Jewett joins from Gap Inc., where he provided strategic counsel and implemented federal government relations strategies.

In his previous role, Jewett managed an extensive policy portfolio with a focus on tax and privacy issues. He successfully worked alongside leading trade associations to lobby on behalf of the retail industry. Most notably, Jewett advocated for the inclusion of the alternative minimum tax in the Inflation Reduction Act. Jewett also previously worked as the director of government affairs at the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Alex Vogel, Chief Executive Officer at Vogel Group, noted that, “Hayden brings unique experience working as an in-house lobbyist for a leading retailer. The retail industry’s wide reach into a variety of issues – including trade, labor, and tax policy – positions Hayden to provide valuable insights to clients in a wide range of industries.”

Jewett also previously served as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman John Culberson (R-TX). In this role, Jewett led a variety of legislative initiatives and served as the primary policy advisor for Labor-HHS, Agriculture, and Legislative Branch appropriations. He also led efforts to secure bipartisan support for recovery efforts following Hurricane Harvey.

“I am excited to join the Vogel Group and use my experience advocating on behalf of the retail industry to assist on a variety of policy issues,” Jewett said. “I look forward to working alongside this growing team with such diverse backgrounds and client expertise.”
