Stephen Borg is a Principal at the Vogel Group.
Prior to joining Vogel Group, Stephen Borg was Vice President of the Keelen Group, LLC. Before that, he served for 11 years on Capitol Hill, working for Congressman Timothy V. Johnson, then Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittee on Rural Development, Research, Biotechnology, and Foreign Agriculture.
During his time on Capitol Hill, Stephen served as Acting Chief of Staff on three separate occasions, Deputy Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and as a Legislative Assistant handling a portfolio of policy issues including Appropriations, Healthcare, Taxes, Education, Science, Foreign Affairs, and the Budget. Stephen has broad experience drafting legislation and amendments and executing an overall legislative strategy on the policy side. In addition to his expertise in these specific areas, he coordinated all of the Congressman’s Appropriations work and oversaw the operations of the Washington, D.C. office.
Given his Capitol Hill background, Stephen specializes in legislative strategy. He is adept at crafting legislative proposals and working with Capitol Hill staff on both sides of the aisle to build consensus and messaging strategy. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Stephen worked as a member of the Republican House Research Staff in the State Capitol of Illinois.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Stephen graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Sociology. He currently resides in Falls Church, Virginia, with his wife Lori and two children.
