Hayden Jewett is a Director at the Vogel Group.

Hayden Jewett brings over a decade of experience in policymaking and lobbying to the Vogel Group. Hayden has served as an in-house lobbyist for a Fortune 200 company as well as a Top 10 non-profit organization. He helped each successfully implement government affairs strategies and provided strategic counsel on key business initiatives. He has an extensive issue portfolio with a primary focus on tax and privacy, reaching across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. In conjunction with multiple trade associations, Hayden lobbied on behalf of the retail industry for many of the policies included in the Inflation Reduction Act, most notably the alternative minimum tax.

Prior to going in-house, Hayden spent nearly five years on Capitol Hill serving the Texas delegation. He supported legislative initiatives in the office of Chairman Roger Williams (R-TX) before joining the office of John Culberson (R-TX) in 2016. While there, Hayden helped lead public policy strategy, legislative initiatives, and served as the primary policy advisor to the Congressman for Labor-HHS, Agriculture, and Legislative Branch appropriations subcommittees. He led efforts to protect and advance federal funding of our nation’s hospitals and research centers, and in the wake of Hurricane Harvey was integral in securing bi-partisan support for recovery and relief efforts.

Hayden is Co-Chair of the D.C. Chapter of Maverick PAC and is a member of the Steering Committee. He is also a longtime coach of the Republican Congressional Baseball Team, supporting nearly 40 members of congress each year leading up to the bi-partisan Congressional Baseball Game for Charity held at Nationals Park.

A Maryland native, Hayden has been active in state and local politics for many years. He holds degrees in Political Science and Latin American Studies from Miami University of Ohio. Hayden currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his fiancé Kelly.
