Shaun Taylor is a Director at the Vogel Group.
Shaun Taylor joins The Vogel Group with nearly a decade of experience on Capitol Hill. Most recently, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX). After joining the congressman’s office in 2021, Shaun’s primary responsibilities included managing the Congressman’s work as a member of the House Armed Services Committee, where he helped navigate four cycles of the National Defense Authorization Act. Shaun has a demonstrated history of delivering wins across a wide range of defense-related topics including cyber, innovation, personnel, and tactical programs. He also oversaw the legislative work and daily operations of the D.C. office.
Previously, Shaun spent six years working for Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC), chair of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Caucus and representative of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In this role, Shaun was responsible for major accomplishments including military medical malpractice reform and expansion of benefits for SOF personnel. He also served as personal staff in the Congressman’s work on the Counterterrorism Committee within the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
Shaun’s other areas of policy expertise include issues related to Energy and Commerce, Veterans Affairs, Financial Services, and Homeland Security.
Shaun is a native Virginian and fourth generation hokie, graduating from Virginia Tech in 2014. He is also an Intelligence Officer in the Army Reserve, avid golfer, and lifelong college football fan.
