Ryan King and Kendall Schell join Vogel Group’s team in Nashville

Nashville, Tennessee – Top bipartisan government relations firm, Vogel Group, announced today the addition of Ryan King, former Vice President of Government Affairs at the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry, “the Chamber,” and Kendall Schell, longtime Republican fundraiser in the state, to the firm. As the group’s roster of clients continues to grow in the state, the addition of Ryan and Kendall will undoubtedly be advantageous and critical in supporting a range of businesses during Tennessee’s commercial boom.

Ryan King will join Vogel Group as a Principal in the Nashville office, bringing significant ties with the business community and deep inroads within the agriculture ecosystem. While serving as Vice President at the Chamber, Ryan oversaw advocacy and government relations efforts across the federal, state, and local levels. He oversaw the implementation of countless pieces of favorable legislation and secured a number of wins for the Chamber’s members across industries. Prior to joining the Chamber, Ryan was instrumental in government affairs efforts for the Tennessee Farmers’ Cooperative and the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation.

Amy Martin, Director of Government Relations for Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc. and member of the Chamber, commented on Ryan’s departure noting, “Ryan has been a strong and effective advocate for Tennessee businesses during his time at the Tennessee Chamber. He has a reputation for working hard, being prepared, communicating well, and delivering results at the State Legislature. His government relations experience plus his understanding of public policy will deliver successful results as he begins this new chapter.”

Bradley Jackson, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber, also weighed in on his departure adding, “We appreciate the great work that Ryan has done on behalf of the Chamber and our members since 2019 and wish him the best with this new opportunity. His work at the Chamber certainly contributed to further embed the Chamber as Tennessee’s premier business advocacy association.”

Kendall Schell will join Vogel Group as the Director of Operations in the Nashville office. Kendall brings a breadth of experience in Tennessee politics and extensive relationships at both the state and federal levels. Kendall has served on a number of campaigns across the state, most notably as the Deputy Finance Director for U.S. Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Governor Bill Haslam (R-TN). She has also worked in varying capacities on the fundraising side for Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) and Governor Bill Lee (R-TN).

Bryan Kaegi, Vogel Group Principal, provided the following comment on the team’s growth, “Vogel Group is excited to announce the addition of these two major players in Tennessee politics and commerce. Ryan’s legislative and policy expertise will further broaden, and give additional strength to, our substantive expertise as our roster of clients continues to grow.
