Sam Yntema is a Director at the Vogel Group.
Sam Yntema takes an active role in representing Vogel Group’s clients on Capitol Hill and in the administration. His work at the nexus of business and federal policy focuses on climate solutions, trade, energy, financial services, tax, and appropriations issues. He regularly interfaces with Congressional staff and other stakeholders on matters affecting clients’ industries and businesses. Sam has a keen understanding of both big picture politics and how the nuances of intersecting forces and interests can drive policy decisions. He maintains strong relationships across the big-picture spectrum, from progressive Democrats to the most conservative Republicans, and is adept at tailoring clients’ messages to different audiences.
Sam joined the Vogel Group after serving clients at VH Strategies for three years. Prior to that, he taught English in Spain and speaks fluent Spanish. Before that, he was a Case Assistant at a top global law firm, supporting a corporate litigation and trial practice group of over 140 attorneys. His work there focused on antitrust litigation, government investigations, and international arbitrations. Sam holds a B.A. in Philosophy and History from Sewanee: the University of the South.
