Washington, DC, October 29, 2019 – The Vogel Group announced today that Jennifer Mallard, a leader in health care policy and advocacy with 20 years of policy, regulatory, and legislative experience, is joining the leading government affairs and global business advisory firm as Principal and Head of the firm’s Health Care Practice. She comes to The Vogel Group after leading Mayo Clinic’s Washington, DC office for nearly a decade. “With Jennifer’s deep background and expertise in health care and business issues, The Vogel Group will continue to help clients manage risk, create strategic and forward focused advocacy solutions, and understand the future of health care better than ever,” said Alex Vogel, CEO of The Vogel Group. “In Washington and around the country, Jennifer is known as a health care thought leader who has the policy expertise, technical knowledge, judgment, and relationships to get things done.”
As the former Director of Federal Government Relations for Mayo Clinic, Jennifer managed and led the Washington DC office in policy development and provided strategic direction in advocacy for a worldrenowned medical business consisting of $12.5B in revenues and 60K employees. She executed the analysis, evaluation, and implementation of regulatory and legislative initiatives on behalf of Mayo Clinic.

Prior to joining Mayo Clinic in 2010, Mallard was the Senior Associate Director of the American Hospital Association from 2000 to 2010, where she developed and implemented a diverse federal advocacy agenda. She previously served as the chief health care policy advisor to Congressman Rick Lazio in his congressional office and volunteered in a similar capacity for his Senate campaign. She started her vast health policy career as a health policy analyst at the National Conference of State Legislators.
